Welcome to our school website. My name is Mrs Lesley Darren and I am the newly appointed Headteacher of St. John’s School from September 2009.
I hope that you will find the website useful and informative. The intention is to give you a flavour of what St. John the Baptist School is like as a school and a community. St. John the Baptist is a Roman Catholic Primary School for children aged 3 – 11. It is a very popular school and is highly regarded both academically and socially. It is also a very happy school and parents know that if their children come here, they will be joining a strong, caring community where everyone can be sure of support and encouragement at all times.
Our mission is to be a Catholic School where every individual is highly valued and where care and concern for others is central to our work. At St John’s School, everything we do is guided by Gospel values. Christ's teaching is central to the school and He is welcomed into our school family through a variety of ways. One being the Eucharist, which is at the centre of the life of the school, and is regularly celebrated in school. Parents and visitors are always very welcome to join us.
